The Climate Data Portal is a comprehensive platform designed to integrate diverse climate data with land use information to support climate adaptation efforts. Ethiopia has been experiencing worsening climate change impacts over the years, making it crucial to analyze historical and projected climate trends. This portal facilitates the assessment of climate change by integrating land use dynamics with climate data over time, utilizing datasets from CHIRPS (Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data) and NASA's Climate Exchange Portals, along with climate records collected by the Ethiopian Meteorological Institute. By combining these resources, the portal enables researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to make data-driven decisions for sustainable land management, disaster preparedness, and climate resilience planning.
